CAT6

There is a big difference between a CAT 5 (category 5) and CAT 6 (category 6) cables. In comparison, the transmission performance is much faster, more bandwidth, lesser noice and errors, and more network reliability than in CAT 5. With more fluidity of tranmission, CAT6 is capable of gigabit Ethernet that allows more flexibility in this copper wiring technology. With its backward compatibility to its CAT 5 predecessor, most network rely on Cat 6 cable standard and widely used in homes and businessess. The demands of Cat 6 is increasing as technology standards improve and exploring beyond the limits of Cat 5 most particularly for video and audio streaming applications.
